Santa’s Coming to Town!
As posted on Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page on December 10, 2020:“Santa is coming tonight! Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department will be driving Santa around town tonight December 24, Christmas Eve, going street to street, starting at 5:30pm. Please call the Fire Hall at 652-8888 after it gets dark to ensure he stops by your house.”

The volunteers of Company 70 have kept this tradition alive for a long, long time. They have made wonderful childhood memories for thousands of children that grew up in our town and surrounding areas. Thanks to all of Company 70 volunteers for providing our children the opportunity to experience this wonderful and unique event that we had when we were young! The Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Company started its Santa Visit on the fire truck within the community on Christmas Eve 1968. This year (2020) will be the 53th consecutive year that our fire company has been doing this for the community of Shenandoah. They have a call list at the station for the citizen that wants us to make a special invitation to stop at their home for a personal visit with Santa. Of course, donations are welcomed during this event.
Santa comes Christmas Eve and will be escorted thru the streets of Shenandoah by Volunteers from the Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department. Thanks to all of Company 70 volunteers for providing our children the opportunity to experience this wonderful and unique event that we had when we were young! Please call the fire station at 652-8888 once it gets dark to ensure he stops by your house.
